Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Cabins: Yellowstone NP, Wyoming

Property
A nationally registered historic hotel and cabin complex inside Yellowstone National Park.
Location
In the northwestern corner of Yellowstone National Park near Mammoth Hot Springs and the Montana border.
Sleeps
2-4.
Highlights
We stayed in one of the cabins. They are simple, rustic, and comfortable. The cabins with shared bathrooms have two double beds, a sink, and a desk. There are also cabins that have their own bathrooms and four of these cabins have their own private hot tubs. In the hotel most rooms have two double beds. Some rooms have shared bathrooms and others have bathrooms of their own. There are also two suites available with two queen beds, a sitting area, and cable tv. These are the only rooms with tv because this is Yellowstone and the last thing people need to be doing in Yellowstone is watching reruns of Seinfeld when there is a whole park to explore right outside the door! The biggest highlight of this area of Yellowstone is the limestone hot springs themselves. They are a short walk from the hotel and their stark beauty is breathtaking.
Good to Know
The Mammoth Hot Springs Dining Room and Terrace Grill are in the Mammoth Hot Springs complex and provide a nice alternative to grab and go food from the general stores. Horseback rides, stagecoach rides, and an Old West Cookout are all nearby and worth your time. Hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing are also great options. Historic Fort Yellowstone is across the street. Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel is open seasonally in the summer and winter. Check their website for dates of operation.
