Seaview Resort and Spa: Galloway, New Jersey
Property
Marriott’s historic Seaview Resort and Spa is a world away from its kitschy neighbor across the bay – Atlantic City. The rambling relaxed resort, which dates back to 1914, is peppered with tennis courts and snuggled between two historic championship golf courses. Complete with a Red Door Spa and resort activities for the kids, it’s a can’t-miss hit with families.
Location
Across the bay from Atlantic City’s famous Boardwalk, two hours south of New York City, one hour from Philly — accessible by Amtrak.
Sleeps
The resort hotel includes regular guestrooms and a variety of suites. The Seaview also offers guests the opportunity to stay at their Fairway Villas via the Marriott Vacation Club.
Highlights
The Seaview’s grand white portico and facade with green trim makes a beautiful photograph. The rambling corridors, which also serve as a photo gallery of its famous guests, provides a glimpse back in time. The traditional feel of the place is pleasantly updated with large open common areas, comfortable guest rooms and a top-notch Red Door Salon. Kids like the endless open lawns, the playground and the family game room complete with an air hockey table. The indoor and outdoor pools aren’t half bad either.
Good to know
The regular guest rooms do not have refrigerators. Wireless is not free (even in the lobby) and the resort provides a very handy shuttle to take you to and from the Red Door Spa.
