The Outrigger Waikiki On the Beach Hotel can be as busy and noisy as Waikiki itself, but you will still catch plenty of that warm, relaxing ocean breeze running through the lobby. This high-rise hotel is right on the beach in the heart of all the Waikiki action. It is across the street from the tacky souvenir heaven, International Market Place, and within walking distance to the Honolulu Zoo. If you plan to take a break from the bustle of Waikiki to see the rest of the Oahu (highly recommended!), it is possible to drive from this location to North Shore in under an hour. Don’t forget to stop at the Dole Plantation to do their super fun maze.

Get up early to go get yourself a table with an ocean view on the patio of Duke’s restaurant for breakfast. You will have some quiet time with your coffee and macadamia nut pancakes while your kids enjoy the great view of the outrigger canoes and surfers while they eat.

Good to know
If you are flying on Hawaiian Airlines, take advantage of the check-in kiosk located in the hotel lobby. For a small fee, you can check-in your luggage on the morning of your flight and avoid some long lines at the airport.
