Accommodations:

A plush, family and pet-friendly resort-style hotel that is one of three at Universal Studios Orlando, which comes with some very nice benefits (more on that in a minute). They’ve got character dining at Islands Restaurant as well as a children’s buffet with pint-sized seating and Fisher Price toys.

Location:
Adjacent to Universal Orlando, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal City Walk, all of which are connected by lush, tropical-themed canals and water taxis as well as footpaths. About fifteen minutes from the airport,  SeaWorld, and DisneyWorld.

Sleeps:
2-4 in standard rooms.

Highlights:

Good luck tearing your children away from the zero-entry lagoon-style swimming pool, complete with kiddie pool and interactive water play area. We didn’t avail ourselves to any poolside snacks, but the nachos looked out of this world.  Another highlight was the in-room coffee, which was literally the best I’ve ever had (and in my case, that’s saying something). The best thing about staying here, however, is being able to jump all the lines at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure just by flashing your room key card.

Good to know:
You can bring pets of any species and size and stay in a special wing of the hotel with the Loews Loves Pets program (as long as you leave a cell phone number so you can be reached in the event of pet angst).

Parking isn’t free here, so if you’re arriving by air and not planning to venture off the property, you’ll probably want to just take a taxi.
