Settlers Creek: Keystone, Colorado

Property
Nestled at the base of the mountain among Christmas tree perfect pines are the townhouses at Settlers Creek, providing clean and convenient accommodations for families who don’t want to rough it. Enjoy ski storage at the front door, a swim or game of pool in the clubhouse, games in front of the fire or a selection of DVDs for the big screen TV. A home cooked meal in the fully stocked kitchen or a short drive to one of many family friendly restaurants make the perfect end to the day in this cozy mountain getaway.
Location
The ski village of Keystone is the least commercial in a ring of ski towns in the Rocky Mountains an hour and a half drive from Denver.
Sleeps
6-10.
Highlights
Skiing, sleigh rides, tubing and skating in winter. Hiking, biking, and river rafting in summer. Even visiting off-season provides plenty of fun: hikes with awesome views as the last of the fall leaves cling to their trees, biking around nearby Dillon Lake, or a drive through the oldest unincorporated town (complete with an old school house) and plenty of good family-friendly restaurants are all easily available. If outdoor fun is what you’re after this is the place to be.
Good to know
Stop by the Inxpot at River Run Village and enjoy a game of chess, visit with friendly helpful staff and savor a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Their bumper sticker reads “Friends don’t let friends drink at Starbucks”, but if you’re a devout Starbucks fan, don’t worry, there’s one a short walk away.
