Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel: Anaheim, California

Property
The most budget-friendly of Anaheim’s Disneyland Resort properties, this hotel offers a standard hotel experience mixed with a modicum of mouse magic. Fifteen floors of clean rooms, tastefully decorated in beachy décor, with not-so-hidden Mickeys on lamp bases, toiletry bottles, etc. Use of mini-fridges and portable play yards is complimentary, and sooooo helpful!
Location
It’s a ten-minute walk to Disneyland’s main gate via a shortcut through the lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Even closer is the special resort-guest-only entrance to Disney’s California Adventure® Park.
Sleeps
Standard rooms hold a king-sized bed or two queen-sized beds. Suites are larger and offer access to a concierge hospitality suite. Adjoining rooms available so Grandma can join the fun.
Highlights
Great views of CA Adventure Park and the nightly fireworks show (complete with piped-in music on the poolside patio). The pool isn’t as tricked out as at other Disney properties, but there is a water slide. Disney cartoons are shown 24/7 in the small “Paradise Theater.” Gift shop offers a substantial stocking-stuffer selection.
Good to know
If your little darling hasn’t had enough princess face time, there’s a closed-circuit TV channel airing Princess Bedtime Stories. Light fare (muffins, yogurt, fruit and coffee) is available in the lobby café. The full-service PCH Grill offers a “Lilo and Stitch” character breakfast buffet, but reservations are a good idea to avoid a wait. (Call 714-781-DINE up to 60 days in advance).
