Moevenpick Petra Nabatean Castle: Wadi Musa, Jordan
Property
The Moevenpick Petra Nabatean Castle is a four-star hotel near the Petra archeological park. This hotel boasts stunning views of the Wadi Musa valley as well as great food and impeccable service. Even for really whiny kids who don’t want to leave their DVD players in the room.
Location
Right in the heart of the Wadi Musa, the big attraction here is, of course, the famous ancient city of Petra. And the hotel is a gorgeous place to go and unwind after a day exploring the glories of Petra.
Sleeps
Up to 4 per room.
Highlights
For me? Definitely, the view. It was amazing to watch the sunset over the mountains each night with a glass of wine. But Chet would tell you the indoor pool was the highlight here. It’s a gorgeous facility and we made ample use of it after long, dusty days climbing among Petra’s ruins.
Good to know
Don’t get confused between this property and Moevenpick’s main Petra resort! This hotel is about a 10-minute drive away from the entrance to Petra’s archeological park. You can expect to pay about 7 Jordanian dinars in cab far to and from the entrance gates. But for me, being away from the loud hustle and bustle of the town made it more than worth it.
