Ca’ della Corte: Venice, Italy

Property

Ca’ della Corte is 16th-century Venetian palace that has been renovated into a charming bed and breakfast (a.k.a. a locanda in Italy). All rooms have private baths, air conditioning, and tea and coffee-making facilities. They have one family room that sleeps up to 5 (room 1, which opens off the courtyard), and also some triple rooms that can be converted into quads. The Ca’ della Corte also rents four family friendly apartments in the immediate area for those who like room to spread out. Of these, the best for families are San Rocco (on the 2nd floor, small terrace), and San Rocco Giardino (on the ground floor, with garden views).

Location
A tranquil neighborhood 3 minutes walking distance from Piazza Roma (where you can hop a vaporetta which will take you anywhere in Venice), 20 minutes walking distance from Rialto Bridge and the San Marco area.

Sleeps
2-5 in the bed and breakfast; 2-8 in the apartments.

Highlights
Breakfast included, and served in your room between 8 and 10am (locanda only, apartments are stocked with breakfast essentials on check-in). Rooftop terrace at the bed and breakfast. Cribs, travel strollers, and bottle-warmers available to families traveling with small children. Babysitting available by arrangement. Boat trips and cooking classes by arrangement.
