Hotel Novotel Annecy Centre Atria: Annecy, France

Property
Budget hotel in the charming Alpine town of Annecy. Simple, but clean and modern rooms and efficient service. This is a popular choice with families. Paid indoor parking (reasonably priced).

Location
Great location, just on the edge of the historic center and next to the train station. An easy five-minute walk brings you to the heart of the historical center.

Sleeps
2-4. All standard rooms have a double bed and a pullout couch, which can sleep 2 children. Cribs can be requested.

Highlights
Exploring the winding streets and canals of this picturesque Alpine town. Walking along the beautiful Annecy Lake. Eating tartiflette, reblochon cheese, and fondue in the many excellent restaurants in the old town (yes- it is literally a block of cheese in your stomach, but it is so worth it).

Good to know
Ask about market days in the summertime – an absolute must. The town comes to life on market day and the stands are spread throughout all of the streets and canals of the center. Do NOT try to stick to any diet while in Annecy, the heavy cheese specialties are not to be missed; you can walk or hike it off later.
