Waterside House B&B: Hawkshead, England

Property
Spacious, comfortable, affordable, family friendly rooms. The best room for a family is the Barn with one room upstairs and a sitting room with a pull-out couch downstairs. The house is on a lovely farm with walking paths to the lake. A wonderful hot breakfast is included.
Location
Situated just a five-minute walk outside of Hawkshead, a pretty rural village steeped in history, in the heart of the Lake District. Leave the car at the B&B because most of the town is a pedestrian zone. Hawkshead is home to poet William Wordsworth, and children’s author Beatrix Potter. Can easily tour the rest of the Lake District in day trips from this B&B.
Sleeps
2-4.
Highlights
The spacious Barn: we could put our baby to sleep then enjoy a relaxing evening in the sitting room. After spending the day touring in the car, it was really nice to get out for a walk and tour around Hawkshead and not have to worry about driving.
Good to know
They have pack-and-plays for babies to sleep in but no high chairs in the breakfast room.
