New Family Friendly Hotels in Wisconsin Dells:
Thunder Valley Inn: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

Property
Love the natural beauty of the Wisconsin Dells but hate the strip of garish, overdeveloped hotels? The Thunder Valley Inn is the answer: a quiet, friendly spot run by the women of a multi-generational dairy farm family. While the men are milking the cows, the ladies are whipping up an amazing homemade breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit, cinnamon rolls and rhubarb-stawberry jam served on fresh bread (made from flour they ground themselves, naturally).
Location
The Wisconsin Dells is a short drive from Madison and full of natural beauty: the magnificent Wisconsin River, towering rock formations, bluffs, etc. The B&B is in a quiet spot off the main road and has a small petting zoo with goats and peacocks and a kitty house with kitties to pet.
Sleeps
4.
Highlights
There are several rooms set up for families but the most amazing is the Norskevalley Room: a huge room with a king size bed, kitchenette, full bath and sitting area. Ask for the adjoining kids room: 2 twins with a child’s desk stocked with toys and drawing supplies. We borrowed a kids video from the large selection in the farm house and our kids loved watching a video in their own room while we got an extra hour of sleep! Ask the owners for a tour of their nearby dairy farm. Our kids got to give the calves a bottle of water on a hot day and watch the cows get milked in the observation room.
Good to know
Some rooms have been recently remodeled/rearranged and don’t match the description on the website- be sure to talk with someone when making your reservation to be sure the number of beds you expect are there. Amazing included breakfast in the restaurant (open for breakfast & by appointment) and snacks in the farm house in the afternoon (popcorn and chocolate cake- yum!)
