New Family Friendly Hotels in Southern Vermont:

Stratton Mountain Resort: Stratton Mountain, Vermont

Property
Nice little enclosed find-everything-you-need ski village with wide range of trails and all-season activities. Lodging choices are numerous and varied to suit different needs –great deals for multi-family visits or family reunions, particularly in the non-ski season.

Location
Southern Vermont, with lots of little villages close by.

Sleeps
Just about any combination you can come up with — decently large condo type of rooms with fully equipped kitchens close to the village make for easy stays with kiddos.

Highlights
Ice skating in the courtyard! On a real pond– too adorable, complete with cabin featuring fireside rocking chairs and free skate rentals or for those braving the chill, sticks loaded with marshmallows for outdoor bonfire. Also great hiking trails (take the lift in warm weather and scope out the firetower for great views) and fun live music. Teens will dig a warehouse-style skateboard venue with a handful of well-loved video games, couches, air hockey, piles of sports equipments (footballs, b-balls, goals, soccer balls) in an atmosphere parents might turn noses up at but kids will appreciate as a genuine cool hang out. True highlight was outdoor pool and hot tubs in the snow — with adjacent sauna for post-freezy hop back inside across radiant heated pool deck. Good weekend afternoon $10 Adult, $7 all-you-can-eat gourmet pizza joint called Mulberry Street.

Good to know
Not really any food delivery, so plan ahead and bring groceries or pick up necessities in the village to use in kitchens or pick one of a bunch of village restaurants for meals.
