Highlights
While not as swanky as nearby mega-resorts, the large, heated pool at Caliente Tropics is perfect for kids. It’s surrounded by tiki ornaments and torches (lit at night) and there are mountain vistas on nearly all sides. There’s a large, grassy area with cabanas, some spa services, shuffleboard and BBQ grills. Rooms feature refrigerators and coffee makers. Convenient to stores, restaurants and attractions.

Good to Know
Palm Springs can be quite the adult party town and old-style motels aren’t the quietest places but the accommodations and price made up for it. A great place for a quick getaway or stopover.
