New Family Friendly Hotels in Gold Coast:

Paradise Resort: Surfer’s Paradise, Australia

Property
If you have 1 or 2 nights on your busy touring holiday where you just want to kick back, relax, and let the kids play, please check out the Paradise Resort. Even if you don’t take advantage of this 5-acre tropical haven’s fully supervised Zone4Kids club, there is an adventure playground, 4 pools (including a slide pool), a climbing wall and a games room. It would be better named Parents’ Paradise Resort, actually.

Location
Paradise Resort is in Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast, south of Brisbane. Affectionately (I think) known as “the Miami of Australia”, the Gold Coast is glitzy and glamorous (also could be described as “brash and tacky”). However, it’s doing something right, because it attracts two million adoring visitors a year. There are golden beaches and theme parks, but also plenty of nature to discover too.

Sleeps
Oh, you just can’t go wrong here. There are family rooms (with self catering facilities); there are rooms with separate bedrooms; rooms with bunk beds; interconnecting rooms; and good old plain hotel rooms.

Highlights
Go to the web site and check out the photos. This place is completely set up for children. And did I mention the Spa?

Good to know
Between mid-November and mid-December, thousands of teenagers descend on the Gold Coast for Schoolies Week, a month-long party. Could be your cup of tea or could spoil your trip.
