Zur Post is a three star hotel with 42 rooms located in Bernkastel-Kues, Germany.

Location
Bernkastel-Kues is made up of two towns, Bernkastel and Kues, which are linked by a bridge over the Mosel River. The hotel is on the Bernkastel side of the river which is also home to a medieval pedestrian area full of half-timbered houses, shops and restaurants proudly serving the local Mosel wine.

Sleeps
2-4. We (two adults, two small children) booked a triple room, while my parents booked a double room. Both rooms included a double bed, sitting area, bathroom with a large shower, flat screen TV, and a mini fridge. The triple room, which was 20€ more, also included a single bed in an additional small room and a balcony. A pack and play was provided free of charge for our little one. A very nice breakfast buffet is included in the room rate, where high chairs are available.

There is a path along the river that is a great place to stroll where you can take in the miles upon miles of vineyards climbing the hills surrounding the river. For my children, the real highlight of the town was feeding the swans and the playgrounds.

Good to know
There are many tourist attractions in this town that are family friendly including a tourist bus ride to Landshut Castle, a small train ride of the town and a one hour boat tour of the Mosel. Hours for these attractions are limited in the off season.
