New Family Friendly Hotels in Franconia:
Kloster-Stueble: Rothenbert ob der Tauber, Germany

Property
Originally a farmhouse, The Kloster-Stueble is now an inviting bed and breakfast in the medieval town of Rothenberg ob der Tauber, Germany.
Location
Located on a quiet side street very close to the entrance to the castle gardens, which provides an ideal spot for kids to run and play. Rothenberg has oodles of fun places to shop for traditional German trinkets; many just around the corner from The Kloster-Stueble.
Sleeps
2-6. We (two adults, two little ones) stayed in the family room in the gasthof, which is comprised of a two decent sized rooms. The kid’s room holds a sturdy set of bunk beds along with a table and is separated from the adult room by a door frame. The adult room consists of a double bed, chest of drawers, a wardrobe, reading lamps, and a flat screen TV. WiFi is available for free throughout the hotel, but the reception was a bit spotty in our room.
Highlights
104 € a night including a wonderful breakfast for our family of four was a bargain in July (prices are higher during Rothenberg’s busy Christmas market season). The staff members were all extremely helpful and accommodating with every request. We enjoyed talking to the co-owner, Erika, about her experiences working in the travel industry.
Good to know
Clean, private bathroom includes shower, but no bath; bring your own toiletries as there are none provided. While in Rothenberg, consider catching the very entertaining night watchman tour given in English at 8pm nightly. In spite of his intimidating garb, he provides loads of comedy throughout the tour, an interesting history lesson of the town, and for our kids, was their favorite part of our weekend in Rothenberg.
