Location
The Inn at Roberts Grove is 100 miles from Belize City (30 minutes by air) on a sleepy 18-mile stretch of land called the Placencia Peninsula. It’s located between a reef and a rainforest, and offers guests of all ages many ways to explore both.

Highlights
Got medium-sized kids? Visit Mayan ruins, swim in caves, go manatee spotting or prowl around a Jaguar Reserve. Kids too little for that? Curl up in a hammock, go beachcombing, or stroll the 200-foot pier. Do as much or as little as you like, it’s hard to go wrong here.

Good to know
If you’re heading into town, you’ll have to take a cab. This is the (fairly insignificant) downside of all that privacy and seclusion. Yes, there are sometimes mosquitoes in Belize. Be prepared. Pack light: the hotel has a cheap laundry service.
