Arco Iris Lodge offers 12 cabins set in nicely landscaped gardens only a short walk to downtown Santa Elena. Each cabin has a private bathroom with hot water (some with cool volcanic stone shower walls) and a balcony or terrace. The cabins vary from the more luxurious "house" to budget rooms with 2 sets of bunk beds.

Costa Rica is my absolute favorite spot on earth. I lived and taught there after college and spent my weekends and holidays hiking and exploring every steamy green nook and cranny. I spent my graduate school summers back in Costa Rica working as a guide and teacher.
