Property

16 spacious bungalows with beamed cathedral ceilings, fireplaces, canopy beds, and porches on a 500-acre organic farm in Tanzania. A family of four should book a room with 2 queen beds. Children 12 and under pay 75% of the adult rate (which covers their guide, driver, meals, park entrance fees and game drives). The swimming pool has views of nearby Oldeani Volcano.

Location
An easy 30-minute drive from Ngorongoro Crater.

Sleeps
2-4.

Highlights
This is a very affordable option for seeing Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area. Guides eat meals with guests, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Enjoy fresh roasted coffee grown right there. Kids will enjoy the farm’s pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbit, lamb and milk cows, but it’s probably best not to tell them that most of these animals wind up on the menu.

Good to know
Pool is chilly except in the warmest weather.
