A Little Extra Support

Dr. Marla's Wellness BraI have a confession to make.  And I feel a little weird talking about it on a family travel blog but I’ll just go ahead anyway:  I have big boobs.

Seriously, I do.  I could suffocate myself with an improperly formed Downward-Facing-Dog.  When I run, I often capture an audience who likely just want to see if I’ll put out an eye if I stumble.  My own Mom refers to them as ” big ol’ knockers” – and that’s in mixed company.

Now why do I make this wacky admission?  Well, as it turns out, being busty can be a pain when you are traveling.  Even more so when you are traveling with kids.  The fact that my underwire bras set off metal detectors at the airport is the least of my problems.  The real issue is that traveling with a kid means I’ll be carrying a child and a lot of stuff – and that usually results in some very uncomfortable digging in.

That’s why I was excited to give Dr. Marla’s Wellness Bra a try.  This bra, designed by a board-certified radiologist and breast expert, Dr. Marla Lander, M.D., is designed with the realities of boobs in mind – it’s made to provide “compression free support” – even when exercising.  And that’s a mighty nice idea when you’ll be on the road with extra compression makers like kids, folding strollers and heavy bags.

I’ve now given Dr. Marla’s Wellness Bra a go on both a plane and a car trip – and you know what?  It lives up to the hype – it is super comfy.  Its patented Pro-Lift System keeps the twins where they need to be (and with an attractive lift, too, might I add) – and its wicking keeps sweat and moisture away from my skin – even when running all over the place after Chet.  For me, that translated into no digging in and no chafing. Total win/win.

Do you have big boobs and want a little more support for your next trip or outing?  You can purchase this great bra at J.C. Penney’s.  Or you can win one here.  We at Travel Savvy Mom are giving away a Dr. Marla’s Wellness Bra to one lucky reader.  Simply leave a comment below before Wednesday, December 23, 2009 to enter.

Finding support for your girls can sometimes be a challenge. I hope I can try out this new bra for my girls :)

I once had an ex-boyfriend call a bra of mine the fortress. Granted it had a whopping 4 hooks. They’ve deflated somewhat since the kids had their way with them, but in my mind that just means they need the support more than ever! Go free bra!

I’m right there with you, Kayt. Well, at least in the “big ol’ knockers” department, if not the “hauling a kid around while traveling” department. Either way, sign me up for this contest. :)

Don’t count me in:-)
However I’m excited to see a US citizen discuss this in the open. Is it because you’ve been living abroad for quite some time now and realised we Europeans do discuss these matters more in the open?

HELP!! My girls have fallen and they can’t get up!!! :-)
Would be nice to have them pointing out instead of down for a change. Count me in! :-)
