A Guide to Snow Vacations for 2012-13
Where and when to have family fun in the mountains this winter
I think we can all agree that the internet is great, but it’s just too BIG to be a time efficient trip-planning tool. Don’t believe me? Open a browser and type in the words “family ski vacation”.
Paralyzing, isn’t it?
My friend Eileen Ogintz, a syndicated columnist and a respected family travel blogger, has created a Fun in the Snow resource for snow-loving families. In addition to naming all her favorite family resorts, she highlights deals, packages, and kids ski free programs.
For example, in some states, with a small amount of paperwork, kids in certain grades can apply for a passport that lets them ski free all season. Suddenly a winter trip to Maine is looking pretty good.
There’s a lot of information here, so pour yourself a cup of coffee, pull up a comfortable chair, and get planning.
