Very annoying to me since it's Uisce Beatha (that's water of life) in both Scots and Irish gaelic. Oh dear! I have to add this because I CARE about TravelSavvyMom credibility.

If I did, though, they'd have loved the castle at the top of the Royal Mile, along with that wholoe high street stretch of shopping and sights. The old Toll Boot Prison, the Witchery (we stayed there overnight - ooh, historic AND spooky), Hollyrood palace at the bottom, and various closes all made me wish I did take my kids on that trip, though. maybe next time!
