Oh My! Kayt this is wonderful stuff! I'm looking into trips we can take once we move to Kuwait. I don't plan to come home for the summers anymore but instead to just travel about. And I have about a thousand questions and fears about going to these places with my kids. So yeah! I'm back on your blog, taking notes. So glad I met you !

Petra the world wonder, is without doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India and southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome

We're on our way to Jordan next week so I really appreciate reading your suggestions. I wasn't sure how Jordan was going to work out for my 4 and 7 year old, but now I'm more excited than ever! Thanks!

Great Post. Always wanted to visit Petra. Heard a lot about it, but never been able to get there. Rome and the chariots sounds awesome, being that Gladiator is still my favorite movie of all times. One day I'll make it there. Again, great post.
