Loved the commentary, advice, and pictures. I saw that my contrarian grandson only rated the trip a 9 1/2. For Ez, that's good. Do you know if there are larger houseboats for a family vacation? Thanks again for sharing.

As one of the families that participated (and were skeptical going into it), it was truly a blast. Another hint: our houseboat came with a full sized kitchen and a water dispenser in the fridge. As newbies, we brought a ton of bottled water that we didn't use.

The mockumentary was soooo cute! I have always wanted to have a houseboating adventure. Maybe once my kids can swim....

I've heard about houseboat vacations before. Now I may need to add it to our to-do list. Sounds like a great time!

DARLING video! Did you bring your laptop AND printer on the houseboat?! Or plan the signs beforehand. Too clever.

Great tips, too. From someone who has houseboated nearly every year since 1998 (at Lake Powell), we prefer to dock the houseboat once for a 4-night trip, and take "scenic drives" to canyons, hiking spots, etc. in a ski boat. Of course, that necessitates a) having a motorboat or b) renting a boat (extra $$).

Don't forget to pack horseshoes and stakes! Great beachtime fun.

Oh, and we prefer an iPod w/ plug-in for music playlists, over multiple CDs that can scratch. :-)
