The Holiday Inn Phuket is a stunning resort in Patong Beach, on Thailand’s largest island. Families will love the two pools, Jacuzzi, and daily scheduled activities (like Thai cooking classes, henna tattoos, and batik). The best rooms are the kidsuites. With pirate themed décor, Playstations, and bunk beds they sell out very quickly. The superior rooms are also very nice and spacious, with two queen beds and room for a rollaway. All rooms are have air conditioning, balconies, gorgeous bathrooms, coffee and tea making facilites, and fridges.
Location
Just opposite the white sand of Patong Beach, in the heart of the market shopping area. Phuket island is connected to mainland Thailand by a bridge, and is 550 miles southwest of Bangkok.

The hotel kids club is wonderful (and affordable) and caters well to children of all ages. Staff here are genuinely friendly and always smiling. My kids are older and loved the parent free zone (available to the over 12’s), complete with Karaoke, DVDs, Playstations, and arts and crafts. Babysitting at the hotel is reliable, cheap and trustworthy. Phuket is a great place for facials, manicures, pedicures, and custom tailoring as well. Moms with shoe and handbag fetishes are in the right place here.

Good to Know
Location counts in Phuket. Choose poorly and you’ll spend a lot of money on taxis. The Holiday Inn is within easy walking distance of fine dining, water sports and great shopping. The Main wing of the hotel is closer to the children’s pool and kids club; the Busakorn wing is quieter and more adult-oriented.
