About Sascha Zuger
Sascha Zuger left behind her world wandering ways as a divemaster, dolphin trainer, skydiver, whitewater rafter and shark diver for the far more exciting and challenging role as ‘mama’ to now-seven-year-old Nakoa. As the doctors at the tiny Honduran hospital handed over his squirming 6.9 pounds, it occurred to her that he appeared to be mighty portable and has since become the world’s best traveling companion (in her unbiased opinion) through over 20 countries and counting.
Her often-humor-based work has appeared in The Washington Post, LA Times, National Geographic Traveler and over twenty-five other national magazines such as Parenting, Cookie, Wondertime, Time Out New York Kids, Gourmet and Food Network Magazine.
She is also the author of the New York State Moon Handbook (coming in June); Dancing Under Water (HarperStudio, 2011), the memoir of her diving years; Girl Overboard, her Caribbean-based travel novel for teens under her pseudonym ‘Aimee Ferris’; has a featured parenting essay in Blessings: Reflections of Love, Gratitude and What Makes Us Happy and forthcoming ‘Aimee Ferris’ young adult novel, Will Work for Prom Dress (Egmont/RandomHouse 2011).
